Heaney claimed that his poetry was a kind of “Archaeology of the mind”. This session will be an exploration of his exquisitely crafted work, ‘Digging’ more deeply into the imaginative terrain into which he takes us. Copies of Heaney’s books are not essential at this event – as relevant poetry will be read – but are highly recommended as personal reading.
